About this course

This dance course continues the study and practice of the discipline and creative art of jazz dance. Focus will be on the elementary principles of technique, theory, practice, and conditioning (to increase functional range of motion and core muscular strength) at an elementary level, along with exploring the choreographic elements of time, space and energy, in addition to exposure to the history of major international influences, jazz dance artists, and their works.
