About this course

This course focuses on the language and culture of Russia. Basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Russian are introduced and practiced within a cultural framework. The emphasis is on language as an expression of culture. Oral practice and conversations are performed based on an understanding of the language structures. Language laboratory practice is a part of the regular instruction to reinforce pronunciation, grammar, syntax, and simple conversation.
